Gaudete & Laetare: Latin Mass Altar Flowers for Rose Vestments

In anticipation of Gaudete Sunday, I post a variety of arrangements I have made in the past incorporating various shades of rose.   Rose vestments come in a variety of colors from a pale apricot to a rich raspberry.  Here are a few examples: Solemnis maniple and chalice veil Slabbinck chasuble with apricot damask and red orphrey Solemnis chasuble in raspberry damask Sacra Domus Aurea stole, maniple and chalice veil   18th century chasuble from 'Shades of Rosacea' Toomey Avignon (Easter egg) pink chasuble with violet orphrey Solemnis gothic chasuble Is there a proper shade of rose for Gaudete and Laudete? She hath considered a field, and bought it: with the fruit of her hands she hath planted a vineyard. She hath girded her loins with strength, and hath strengthened her arm. She hath tasted and seen that her traffic is good: her lamp shall not be put out in the night. She hath put out her hand to strong things, and her fingers have taken hold of the spindle. She hath opened her hand to the needy, and stretched out her hands to the poor."  Proverbs 31: 10-20 It has always been my intention to write a
